Canada Golf Vacation

Mountains, oceans and Arctic tundra form the backdrop to challenging fairways and immaculate greens. Celebrated names like Nicklaus, Thompson, Robinson, Furber and Whitman loom large on world-class courses. Play all night under the warm glow of the midnight sun in the Far North. Or putt your way around beautiful Prince Edward Island in full view of the sparkling Atlantic. In Canada, spectacular golfing is just par for the course - please excuse the pun!

The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course
Renowned for its panoramic beauty, The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is a captivating and challenging layout set in the heart of Canada's Rocky Mountains.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course offers just two simple things. First, a breathtaking view in every direction and second, a magnificent layout that thrills every golfer fortunate enough to spend a day here. Amateurs and professionals alike are constantly amazed by its panoramic challenge. From the actual hole design to the optical illusions created by the surrounding mountains, this course will delight and tempt you.

Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club,
the centrepiece of Three Sisters Mountain Village in Canmore, Alberta, offering 18 championship holes, 7,195 yards, 72 strokes and an unbelievable mountain golfing experience.

The course itself is a modern classic. Few others in North America boast the
attributes this course provides - a spectacular mountain setting,
extraordinary 360º vistas, naturally sculpted fairways and rich local
history.

Whistler Golf Course
Snowcapped peaks. Majestic fir trees. Invigorating mountain air. The occasional brown bear and her cubs sauntering across the green - this is the setting that inspired Arnold Palmer to choose the Whistler Golf Club as his first Canadian design.

The Whistler Golf Club is a par 72, 18 hole golf course winding past gentle mountain streams and nine lakes that easily exceeds the expectations of the most discriminating golfer. In 2000 the Whistler Golf Club received an extensive $2.2 million renovation to ensure this 6676-yard course continues its legacy of excellence.

And for when you are relaxing -

Don't forget there is a wealth of things to do when you are not playing golf!

It's such a vast country, it's hard to know where to start. There are great cities and terrific scenery on Canada vacations. I would definitely head for the Rocky Mountains. They are set in a beautiful landscape with deer ambling thru the pine forests and lovely lakes. What a place to dip into a hot spring. There are a number of activities available such as mountain biking and kayaking. I'd like to do some cross country skiing in the winter, but I'd have to get fit first.

Toronto is another city I'd like to see. It has a really good nightlife and designer fashion shops, museums and theatres. It has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with different ethnic districts. There's a Chinatown, Koreatown and a Little Italy. There's also a Greek neighborhood. Canada vacations are never short of scenery, and Toronto has a lovely waterfront on Lake Ontario.

Everyone who goes to Canada should see Niagara Falls. I'm told the sight and the sound of them are truly memorable and the highlight of Canada vacations. The Falls are 54 meters high but it's the force of the water that's awesome. You can take a cruise or fly over in a helicopter. They're illuminated at night and there are firework displays. There are other things to do apart from viewing the Falls. You can visit a vineyard or go to the Botanical Gardens which have a big collection of butterflies. There is even some fishing to be had on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
